Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Lauda app. By creating an account or using Lauda, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Lauda, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

Lauda is a voice and language AI application offering the following features:

Features marked as "Premium" require an active paid subscription. We may add, remove, or change features over time; material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use Lauda. You are responsible for:

Passwords must be at least 8 characters and contain at least one letter and one number. We recommend using a unique, strong password.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Lauda offers free and premium subscription tiers.

Free plan: Limited monthly usage as described in the app.

Premium plan: Unlimited usage (subject to fair use). Billed monthly or annually via Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices are displayed in the app before purchase.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store / Google Play account settings. We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain ownership of all audio recordings, transcripts, and content you create using Lauda. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely to provide the service.

Our content: The Lauda app, its design, features, and underlying technology are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our app or its components.

AI-generated content: Transcriptions, translations, and AI outputs are provided as-is. We do not claim ownership of AI-generated text derived from your input.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of Lauda is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key points:

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Lauda is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

AI transcription and translation are probabilistic technologies. Always review outputs for accuracy, especially for legal, medical, or critical communications.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Lauda is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings > Delete Account. This permanently deletes your data.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use Lauda ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising from or related to your use of Lauda shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada, except where the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.

For residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under local consumer protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable EU consumer-rights directives.
